By William Mackay: At today’s press conference, WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) was sounding much bolder than usual as he explained what he’s going to do in his next fight against WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) in their December 11th bout in Las Vegas, Nevada. While most boxing fans figure the last thing Khan will do is try and mix it up with the hard hitting Maidana, in the press conference Khan seemed to be saying that he’s going to go out and try and slug with Maidana.

He looks like he’s ready to tear WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan’s head off right now two months before the fight. Maidana had his game face on for the press conference and seemed like he wanted to tear into Khan right then and there. For his part, Khan looks like he’s starting to put on a little weight around his face and upper body.

Khan to join Pacquiao in training camp in the Philippines

McCloskey looks too slow to beat Khan

I’m stuffed.” Earlier today, Khan said “Getting breakfast made. Got food marinated for a BBQ later on.” And yesterday, Khan said “Had my massage, and foods on the table, pasta and chicken. I’m starving.”
