He speaks English. Ward speaks English. Kessler understands English.

Froch hopes Green will beat Ward this Saturday
By William Mackay: Former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) is picking Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) to upset World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) this Saturday night in the stage 2 part of the Super Six tournament. Froch, 32, is going against the flow of the general boxing public in picking the 30-year-old Green to win this fight, because most boxing experts and fans see this as a clear cut win for Ward.
Is Green too flawed to beat Ward? – Super Six
By Dave Lahr: I want to give Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) at least a small chance of beating World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) when they meet this Saturday night at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California. If I hadn’t seen Green’s fights against Edison Miranda and Tarvis Simms, I would think that Green has a very real chance of beating the 26-year-old Ward on Saturday night.
Green has pressure on him in Ward fight
By Jason Kim: Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) starts off the Super Six tournament already behind because he’s replacing Jermain Taylor, who had zero points at the time he left the tournament. Green, 30, will be facing the younger Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) on June 19th at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland. Green realizes he’s slightly in a hole because of lack of points but is trying to see it a different way, saying “I’m not coming into this tournament thinking about points. I’m thinking about victories. With victories come points. I don’t want to put more pressure on myself than I already have.”
Is Ward hated because he beat Kessler?
By Scott Gilfoid: If you take a look at a typical boxing forum or comment section on the net you’ll often notice that WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) takes an abundant amount of criticism from boxing fans related to his win over former World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler last November. Ward is called a dirty fighter because he and Kessler clashed heads a number of times in the fight.
What will Green’s secret weapon be against Ward?
By William Mackay: Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) talks about having a secret weapon that he plans on using against WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) on June 19th in his first Super Six tournament bout at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California. Green, 30, has to come up with some way for him to deal with the movement and the counter punching ability of the 26-year-old Ward if he wants to win this fight and increase his chances of making the semi finals of the tournament.
Ward vs. Green: Andre could ruin Allan’s chance to advance to the next level of the Super Six tournament
By Jason Kim: Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) doesn’t have much of a margin for failure against WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) in their stage 2 Super Six fight on June 19th, in Oakland, California. Green, 30, is already entering the fight behind Ward with zero points because Green is replacing Jermain Taylor in the tournament. As such, Green has to win this fight to get to the semi finals of the tournament. Green will have one more fight in the first stages of the Super Six tournament but it will be pretty much meaningless for Green unless he can get by Ward on 6/19.
Ward expects a grueling fight from Green on 6/19
By Matt Stein: World Boxing Association super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) expects a grueling fight from once beaten Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) when they meet up in their stage 2 Super Six tourney bout at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California. Whereas Green has been predicting a knockout victory, Ward is just content to a win and doesn’t have a hang up about trying to score a knockout. Ward, 26, says “At this stage and this level you have to be ready for everything the opponent has to bring. In my mind, I’m preparing for a very physical and very grueling fight. And if there is anything left, then that’s fine. That’s what I’m prepared for to do whatever needs to be done to keep my title. I never wanted to be a guy who won a title and then lost it to his first defense. I want to be a guy that reigns for a long time.”
Green: “I’m not looking for a one punch knockout” against Ward
By Jim Dower: Allan Green (29-1, 20 KO’s) has a formidable task in front of him on June 19th against WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13 KO’s) in taking him on in their stage Super Six tournament fight at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California. For the 30-year-old Green, this will be his first fight of the Super Six tournament, as he’s replacing Jermain Taylor who departed after getting viciously knocked out by Arthur Abraham. Green is going into this fight with little experience against top level opposition and virtually no wins over big times fighters.
Allan Green thinks he knows Ward’s style
By Chris Williams: At Tuesdays’ media conference call between Allan Green and Andre Ward, both fighters got to chime in on their thoughts about their upcoming June 19th stage 2 Super Six bout at the Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California. Green, 30, seems really comfortable stepping in to replace the departing Jermain Taylor, saying “I think I belonged in the tournament originally. As far as [Andre] Dirrell goes, I don’t think he was ready. The thing I didn’t understand was Jermain Taylor getting into the tournament. No offense against Jermain but we fought on the same show and I won my fight and he lost his fight. I got pushed back to ShoBox and he got put into the tournament. That’s what I didn’t understand.”
