By Scott Gilfoid: Former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) says he wants to take on WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (27-2-1, 20 KO’s) in his first fight at lightweight later on this year. Broner: I’ll fight Brandon Rios at a catchweight
By Chris Williams: If Top Rank promoter Bob Arum wants to get a big fight for his struggling with weight fighter former WBA World lightweight champion Brandon Rios (30-0, 22 KO’s) he should look at Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s), who said he’s interested in fighting Rios next at a catchweight. Presumably the fight would be at 138 lbs, since Rios now fights at 140 and Broner is moving up to the lightweight division at 135.

Adrien Broner: The future of the sport or not?
By Mr. Medrano: Adrien Broner (24-0-0 20 k.o.’s) has put together a string of wins in which he looks “great” against the people standing in front of him. So now the question has to be asked whether or not he is the future for the squared circle. He has yet to fight anyone who is well known in the sport, of course that is not saying much.
Broner wins in 5 but loses the boxing worlds respect
By Gareth Rees: Adrian Broner (24-0 20 KOs) proved he was a league above the respected Vincente Escobedo (26-4 15 KOs) but has lost a large portion of the boxing worlds respect, whilst Escobedo has gained a massive increase in fans. Broner may have won the fight in 5 rounds, as Escobedo’s trainer Joel Julio threw in the towel so his fighter didn’t take anymore needless punishment, but what everyone will remember is Broner’s disgusting attitude as he failed to make weight massively on two occasions.
Broner poised to be one of the great ones if he keeps improving
By Chris Williams: Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) continues to make believers out of the doubters in the boxing world after defeating Vincente Escobedo (26-4, 15 KO’s) by a 5th round TKO on Saturday night in a fight where Broner could do nothing wrong. He opened up with both barrels in the 5th, and it looked bad for Escobedo until his corner halted the fight.

De La Hoya thinks Escobedo might beat Broner
By Scott Gilfoid: Oscar De La Hoya thinks that former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner may be ripe for an upset loss to Vincente Escobedo tonight when the two square off on HBO at the U.S. Bank Arena, in Cincinnati, Ohio. De La Hoya’s reasoning is because of Broner coming in three pounds over the initial weigh-in on Friday. He believes that Broner will be weakened from struggling to make the 130 pound weight limit.

By Jim Dower: Adrien “The Problem” Broner (24-0, 20 KOs) pounded a weaker and badly over-matched Vincente Escobedo (26-4, 15 KOs) on Saturday night, halting him in the 5th round when Escobedo’s corner threw in the towel when things started to go really sour for him at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
