Broner came in at 143.5 instead of the 140 that Escobedo’s camp wanted him to. As such, the fight possibly will be called off.

As such, the 22-year-old Broner will lose his World Boxing Organization title on the scales. The title will still be up for grabs for the 30-year-old Escobedo, though, but Broner won’t have the opportunity to fight for it.
