By Sean Ness: Tonight we saw the arrival of James Chunky DeGale (21-1-0) with his 12 round unanimous decision win over American Andre Dirrell (24-2, 16 KOs) to win the vacant IBF 168lb title at the Agganis Arena, Boston Massachusetts. DeGale had been cool, calm and collective in the build up to this world title fight and took that mantra into the squared circle with him.

Terence “Bud” Crawford: Flirting with Greatness!
By Sean Ness: Boxing is a sport that intrigues me. It gets the juices flowing and lights a fire in my belly. I find myself throwing punches at fresh air and even shouting at my TV when the rest of my family are trying to get to sleep. Every single ill thought and life’s problems absolutely leave my head. I am wholeheartedly happy and this morning (UK time) was no different.
I once again settled in and got ready for a roller coaster of action packed boxing. There was no alcohol involved just me, a coke and the sound of boxing from my TV filling my living room.
James DeGale is on a mission
By Sean Ness: Super Middleweight contender James “Chunky” DeGale (20-1 14 KO’s). The guy is like marmite. You either love him or hate him. In the build up to his British Super Middleweight title fight with his fellow London native and fiercest rival George Groves (21-2 16 KO’S), he was a young guy with a big mouth and showed George nothing but contempt in the build up to their fight.
It was very rare that you heard James give any of his peers respect. He told anyone that was willing to listen that he was the best thing since sliced bread and unless you were living under a rock, you will know that George Groves beat James in a split decision at the O2 Arena in London.
