Daniel Dubois has taken to Instagram to call out IBF heavyweight mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic to face him next on the undercard of the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou card on March 8th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fresh off an impressive tenth-round knockout victory over previously unbeaten Jarrell Miller last December, the 26-year-old Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) is targeting the 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) next.

Hrgovic will likely choose not to take the risky fight against the powerful 6’5″, 240+ lb Dubois, considering he’s on the doorstep to challenge for a world title against the winner of the May 18th undisputed clash between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and IBF/WBA/WBO champ Oleksandr Usyk.

That said, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh can easily convince the reluctant 31-year-old Hrgovic to take the fight with Dubois if he makes it worthwhile for him.

“Hrgovic, I’m the daddy. I’ve heard you’ve been calling out everyone else’s name. I can’t hear mine. Are you ready because I’m ready,” said Daniel Dubois on Instagram, calling out Filip Hrgovic for his next fight on the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou card on March 8th in Saudi Arabia.

The way that Dubois looked against Miller, he’d be too much for Hrgovic and would knock him out. Of course, if Hrgovic landed one of his textbook rabbit punches, he’d be KO Dubois. It would be more difficult for Hrgovic to land shots behind the head

of Dubois due to his height and his powerful body punching.

The 6’5″ Hrgovic is an excellent puncher, but he looked shaky in his recent clashes against Demsey McKean and Zhilei Zhang. Hrgovic easily could have lost both fights if not his rabbit punching in the McKean clash and controversial scoring in his match against Zhang.

Most fans believe Hrgovic deserved a loss to Zhang but got lucky with the judges giving him the decision.

A rematch should have happened, but there’s no way Hrgovic would have taken it because the chances are high that Zhang would have made sure the judges didn’t have a say in the outcome of a second match.

Speaking of controversies, Dubois suffered a controversial loss in his fight against Usyk last Summer in Wroclaw, Poland. In the fifth, he dropped Usyk with a beltline body shot, which the referee ruled a low blow. On instant replay, it showed the punch was on the beltline and not low.
