Boxing results: Amanda Serrano and Jake Paul Win in Texas

By Ken Hissner: At the American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas on Saturday over DAZN and DAZN PPV promoters Bryce Holden (Holden Boxing) and MVP Promotions presented in the Main Event in a rematch WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, IBO Feather champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano again defeated the former WBO World Feather champion Heather “The Heat” Hardy over 10×2 lopsided rounds.

In the co-main event, cruiserweight Jake “The Problem Child” Paul defeated MMA star Nate Diaz.

In the Main Event in a rematch WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, IBO Feather champ Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, 45-2-1 (30), #124.6, of Brooklyn, NY, defeated Heather “The Heat” Hardy, 24-3 (4), #125.8, of Brooklyn, NY, over 10×2 lopsided rounds.

In the first four rounds, it was obvious Serrano was the better of the two, landing pin-point punches almost at will with stiff jabs and hooks from both hands to the head of Hardy, who had no answer in return.

By the fifth round, Hardy was a bloody mess. In the ninth round, referee Laurence Cole called in the ring physician due to both eyes of Hardy were near swollen shut.

In the ninth round, a clash of heads only made the blood-smeared Hardy look more for the worse. In the tenth and final round, Serrano tried to stop in the final twenty seconds, but Hardy showed enough grit to hang on to the final bell.

Scores were 99-91 and 100-90 twice.

In the co-main event, Jake “The Problem Child” Paul defeated MMA star Nate Diaz over ten rounds.

In the first round midway, Paul landed a left hook to the head and a right to the body. By the end of the round, the right eye of Diaz began to redden. In the second round, Diaz landed left and right hooks while Paul countered with shots to the head and body. In the third round, Diaz landed the first effective punch a left to the head. Paul came back and started to land pinpoint punches.

In the fourth round midway point, Diaz snapped Paul’s head back with a left hook. Paul was able to come back and easily take the round. In the fifth round, Paul landed a left hook to the temple, dropping Diaz for an 8-count from Referee Mark Calo-oy. Diaz, upon rising, was able to stand his ground enough to get through the round.

In rounds six and seventh, it went back and forth. Who got the better of it? In the eighth, Diaz had his best round of the fight, taking what seemed was his first round, he got the better of Paul. In the ninth and tenth rounds, Paul controlled the action as Diaz, who was making his pro debut, struggled to get through each round.

Scores were 97-92 and 98-91 twice.

Super Middle No. 1 ranked Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green, 13-0 (11), #166.9, of Paterson, NJ, defeated Olivia Curry, 7-2 (2), #166.7, of Chicago, IL, over 10×2 rounds.

In round two, Green snapped the head of Curry back with a jab keeping her on the defense. In round five, a double uppercut from Green hurt Curry. Curry bounced back in the sixth with hard body shots in a close round.

From the seventh round through the tenth rounds, Green went to both the body and head while Curry tried to counter with little success.

Scores were 99-91, 100-90, and 100-89.

Cruiser Jake “The Problem Child” Paul, 6-1 (4), #185, of Dorado, PR, vs. Nate Diaz, 0-0 (0), #184.9, of Stockton, CA, ten rounds.

In the first round, after some feeling out, Paul, halfway through the round, started throwing punches in bunches hurting Diaz, who recovered enough to get through the round. In the second round, Diaz came out being aggressive, but Paul landed a couple of body shots forcing Diaz to clinch. In the final minute, Paul landed a couple of shots to the head, causing Diaz to smile as a cover-up. It was another round for Paul.

Light Ashton “H20” Sylve, 10-0 (9), #134 ½, of Long Beach, CA, knocked out William “Baby Face” Silva, 30-5 (18), #134 ½, of Sao Paulo, BRZ, at 2:59 of the fourth round of a scheduled eight rounds.
In the second round, Sylve dropped Silva with a body shot for an 8-count.

In the fourth round, Sylve landed a vicious left hook to the body and down on his back for the full count.

Welter Alan Sanchez, 23-5-1 (10), #147, of Guadalajara, MEX and Fairfield, CA, defeated southpaw Angel Beltran Villa, 17-2 (10), #144.4, of Mexicali, Baja California, MEX, over eight rounds.

Villa was the aggressor in the first two rounds. In the third, he landed a hard left causing Sanchez to counter but warned for a low blow. In the fourth round, Villa was cut in the corner of his left eye.

In the sixth round, Sanchez landed a hard uppercut getting Villa’s attention. In the eighth round, Sanchez landed the harder punches in a good exchange to the delight of the crowd taking the round.

Scores were 77-75, 78-74, and 79-73.

Super Middle Chris Avila, 4-1 (0), #170.3, of Stockton, CA, defeated Jeremy “Little Heathen” Stephens, 0-1-1 (0) #167, of Chula Vista, CA, over six rounds.

In the second round, Avila landed several powerful overhand rights to the head of Stephens. In the third, Avila snapped back the head of Stephens with rights. In the fourth and fifth rounds, Stephens tried landing overhand rights with little success. In the sixth and final round, Avila landed some big rights to the head of Stephens, easily winning the round.

Scores were 60-54 and 59-55 twice.

Middle Kevin “The Second Coming” Newman ll, 15-3-1 (9), #161.8, of Las Vegas, NV, defeated Quillisto “Quillo the Kid” Madera, 14-4 (9), #164.9, of Stockton, CA, over eight rounds. The referee was Ruben Perez.

In rounds one and two, Newman outworked Madera. In round three, Madera was warned for hitting behind the head. From the fourth through the sixth, Newman got the best of it. In the seventh round, Madera lost a point by hitting Newman behind the head. In the eighth bot landed big shots to the head.

Scores were 80-71 and 79-72 twice.

Welter Noel Cavazos, 2-2 (0), #148.6, of Ventura, CA, lost a majority decision to Jose Aguayo, 1-1 (0), #149.4, of San Ramon, CA, over four rounds. The referee was Laurence Cole.

In the first three rounds, Aguayo had an edge over Cavazos in a toe to toe slugfest. In the fourth and final round, Cavazos came back with too little too late.

Scores were 39-37 twice and 38-38.

Super Light Luciano Ramos, 2-3 (0), #140, of Bueno Aires, ARG, defeated southpaw Cee Autobot Hamilton, 0-1 (0), #136.9, of Harwell, GA, over four rounds.

In the first three rounds, Ramos outworked Hamilton. In the fourth and final round, Ramos landed several overhand rights to the head of

Hamilton. The referee was Ruben Perez.

Scores were 40-36 twice and 39-37.
