Jarrell Miller: “Such FOOLS”, Big Baby on Ban threat

By Allan Fox: Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller took to social media to criticize the people that are calling for him to receive a lifetime ban from boxing following his recent positive test for a performance-enhancing drug.

Miller, 32, is expected to be handed down a suspension by one of the State Commissions. It’s believed that Miller’s suspension will be either six or twelve months, with many fans believing it’ll be the latter.

Heavyweight Miller (23-0-1, 20 KOs) sees no reason for him to be banned despite having tested positive for the second consecutive year for the PED GW501516, aka Endurobol. It’s not a steroid, but it does fit the description of a PED due to the ability it gives athletes to burn fat and increase their performance.

GW501516 has been tested on mice, according to Wikipedia, and it “the compound dramatically increased the physical performance of the mice.” One of the physical downsides of using this substance is the high risk of cancer. In the mice and rats that this substance was tested on, it caused cancer in different organs.

Miller fires back at people calling for a lifetime ban

“I will remain strong, confident, and continue moving forward on this difficult journey but one that I am definitely built for,” said Big Baby Miller on his Instagram.

To my family, team, friends, and fans. I THANK you for your continued love and support through this tough time. And I love you guys for genuinely standing with me.
I’ve seen and heard several individuals calling for me to be banned from boxing… Such FOOLS!”

I’m sure that’ll go over real well with people being called “fools” by Miller for them advocating a lifetime ban for him. What Miller fails to understand is the fans are concerned with the safety of his opponents. If Miller’s performances inside the boxing ring are aided by PEDs, then he could do harm to the guys he’s facing.

There are already a lot of fans that believe that Big Baby Miller has been using PEDs continually for years to help him win fights. The fans have no proof, however. But when they see a 300+ pound heavyweight throwing a high number of punches per round, something doesn’t seem right about that.

Big Baby will continue to fight

“I have a lot to say on that shit but it’s a conversation that I’ll revisit at another time,” continued Miller.

“My FIGHT continues and it’s one that I will win. I ain’t ever laid down in a fight and I ain’t ever gave up on myself. Never been a quitter and never will!! BIG BABY is still here!!!!!” said Miller.

Well, Miller could be right about him fighting again. There isn’t a system in place where fighters are given lifetime bans for testing positive multiple times for PEDs. Like in society, when people mess up, they’re given more chances to redeem themselves.

Miller will eventually be cleared to fight once his impending suspension ends so that we could see fighting soon. A year from now is very likely when we’ll see Miller back in the ring. The State Commission needs to decide Miller’s case soon, and then they can figure out what the plan is for him.

When Miller’s suspension does end, he needs to have year-round testing so that this problem doesn’t keep popping up.
