United Boxing Promotions and Eye of the Tiger Management Join Forces for Prospect-Studded Card: Simon Kean, Josh O’Reilly, and Tim Cronin All in Action!

MISSISSAUGA (September 21) – On November 19, United Boxing Promotions and Eye of the Tiger Management join forces at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, to showcase some of the fastest rising stars on the Canadian fight scene. In a special heavyweight feature, Olympian turned undefeated pro sensation Simon Kean (5-0-0, 5KOs) of Trois-Rivières will appear in his first pro fight outside Quebec. A long-time member of the Canadian national team, Kean competed as a super heavyweight at the London Olympics and Toronto Pan Am Games, before making his transition to the punch-for-pay game in 2015. The big heavyweight has scored five knockouts in as many fights, often against more experienced opposition. In his most recent outing, Kean administered an impressive TKO5 stoppage to 20+ fight veteran Daniel Cota of Mexico. Kean’s opponent will be announced in the near future.

In super featherweight action, fans will be treated to the relentless style of undefeated Hamilton prospect Josh O’Reilly (6-0-0), who will jump up to the eight round distance for the first time in his young career. Since turning pro in 2014, O’Reilly has battled through a gauntlet of undefeated hopefuls and seasoned veterans, earning him the respect and admiration of fight fans around the nation. O’Reilly last saw action in March, scoring a TKO3 victory over Hungarian national title challenger Imre Nagy. O’Reilly’s opponent will be announced in the coming days.

At light heavyweight, highly touted national contender Tim Cronin (8-1-1, 2KOs) of Etobicoke, Ontario, returns for his third fight of 2016 in an eight rounder against an opponent TBA. Cronin is fresh off a unanimous decision win over once-defeated Slovak Kristof Demendi. As the wins pile up, Cronin fans are clamouring for a Canadian title shot for their man. If the slick-boxing Irishman maintains his recent momentum, that championship could be right around the corner.
