Los Angeles, CA, September 28, 2015 — Latin Sports, a leading Hispanic Sports Promotions and Management Company today announced that its premier fighting Champion and boxing sensation, Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada, successfully defended his WBO and WBA Flyweight Belts in an epic battle against former titleholder Hernan “Tyson” Marquez on Saturday, September 26th at the Puerto Peñasco Convention Center in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico.

The first two rounds seemed more evenly matched and both fighters exchanged blows, but by the third round, it was apparent that El Gallo was gaining ground against the veteran fighter Tyson, as he jabbed harder and harder, and avoided counterpunches by dancing around the ring. During the fourth round, El Gallo emerged as the superior boxer and by the fifth round, his momentum took flight as he worked Tyson’s body and seemed fresh while Tyson became physical fatigued by the punishment dealt out by the Champ.

During the sixth round, El Gallo’s beating of his opponent started to take its toll as Tyson hit the mat hard. He staggered to his feet, only to be viciously pummeled by El Gallo again, and Tyson shortly hit the mat for the second time during the sixth. Tyson dragged himself up to his feet and he recovered enough to make a few counterpunches to indomitable El Gallo before the bell rang, which ended the sixth round.

Tyson Marquez fought bravely but he was simply no match for El Gallo, who rained blows against his opponent throughout the night. In the seventh round, El Gallo knocked down Tyson two more times, in the ninth round, he knocked down Tyson once, and in the 10th and final round, he knocked down Tyson two times, the last of which culminated in a knockout, a stoppage of the fight 1:16 in round ten, a TKO!

An emotional Juan “El Gallo” Estrada said, “I am so thankful to God that I won this fight and kept my belts and my titles. Fighting is my life, and I want to show the world that with hard work, you can make your dreams come true. This was a difficult battle and Tyson was brave because he kept coming back, and he put up a good fight, honestly. But I worked very hard to be ready for this, and I knew in my heart that I would be victorious. I am thankful to Latin Sports for letting me practice my craft, and to my fans for their love and support.”

Mr. Carlos Moncada President of Latin Sports commented, “This was a great fight, and we are very proud of Juan “El Gallo” Estrada because this young Champ continues to show us all how much of a fine a man and wonderful Champion he truly is. Juan has a lot of heart, and every time he fights you can see his hard work and preparation shining through. He is one of the most disciplined and talented fighters I’ve ever met, and we look forward to a bright future with the Champ!”

The fight was televised on Bein Sports Español in the USA and on TV Azteca in Mexico.
