Tim “Desert Storm” Bradley vs Boxing Popularity

bradley21214By Power VCT: Over the years we all have watched Tim Bradley climb the ladder in and out the boxing ring! He’s been a successful husband, father and inspiration to many, but what it seems to appear is that Bradley just can’t get that international boxing recgonition he deserves. Many boxing fans and casual fans alike were a little bothered when Bradley and the possibility of him facing Amir Khan didn’t happen a while back, but again, prior to that Bradley kept marching forward to defeat Devon Alexander in a junior welterweight title in a unification fight.

Bradley has fought very tough opposition and his last opponent in Ruslan Provodnikov may have also made himself a rising star at the expense of Bradley’s decision to stand toe-to-toe and trade instead of his style of boxing and moving. We all know Bradley can box just as well as anyone in the sport today, but we also know at this point of his career he can no longer stand and trade and possibly suffer another concussion as he admitted after the fight with Provodnikov. Bradley has also displayed very good boxing performances against Lamont Peterson, Joel Casamayor, Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and the very dangerous Juan Manuel Marquez. He must continue to box in order to remain undefeated.

Now with his next fight fast appoaching on 04/12/2014 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas Nevada Bradley will have the world stage attention against a dangerous opponent in Manny Pacquiao. This fight will be the marquee match-up for both fighters since the winner will probably be mentioned as an top candidate to face the best and #1 curently ranked fighter in Floyd Mayweather. Bradley’s fight with Pacquiao must leave everything in the ring and take the decision out of the judges hands or he could lose a very close decison since some of the fans thought Pacquiao was already robbed! Bradley must fight the bout of his life or he will become another unpopular fighter whom just can’t get the nod over the very popular Manny Pacquiao and if that happens, he does have options on climbing back to the top of the welter-weights best however; any possible/future bouts with Mayweather will vanish.

On 04/13/2014 we all will know one thing for sure Timothy Bradley will either be a house-hold name or another fighter whom was blinded by the “spotlight” of Boxing Popularities!
