It’s becoming old habit for the 37-year-old Magee to take on and thrash Danish fighters after having beaten up Danes Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen in the last couple of years, and he sees it being no different on December 8th in their fight for the vacant WBA World super middleweight title.

Magee said “I’ve beaten Larsen and Markussen, and now I will beat Kessler.”

Kessler in turn thinks he’s going to win, bragging about his so-called superior power and his boxing skills. Kessler may have a tiny advantage in power, but it’s not enough for him to assume he’s going to win the fight, because Magee hits almost as hard and if he can get his shots to connect he’ll win the fight. It’s as simple as that.

We already saw Kessler on his hands and knees on the canvas in his last fight against Allan Green last May in a fight for the vacant WBC Silver light heavyweight title. Kessler was able to come back from the knockdown to initially hurt Green and then finish him off in the 4th round with a hard left hand that he never saw coming.

I like Magee in this fight. He may have lost to IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute by a 10th round in March of last year, but Magee fought Bute plenty tough the entire fight and was able to land a lot of his big power shots.

Kessler won’t be able to take the punishment inflicted upon him by Magee unless Kessler is able to get Magee out of there early. That’s doubtful because Magee has a good chin and he can really box well.
