This isn’t anything new for Chisora, as he always is a highly aggressive fighter who tends to load up with every shot that he throws.

Chisora told thesun.co.uk “In the ring during the fight I won’t be behaving. I will be like an animal and I’m going to rock it out.”

Chisora hasn’t always played it clean in the ring. In one of his fights in the past against Paul Butlin in 2009, Chisora bit him on the neck during the fight for appeared to be no apparent reason. Chisora was dominating the fight and getting very little back in the way of shots from the over-matched Butlin. But still Chisora bit him anyway. Other than that, Chisora is mostly a clean fighter in the ring. Where he seems to get in trouble is outside of the ring at weigh-ins and faces offs with his opponents.

It seems little more than showmanship on Chisora’s part, because it doesn’t carry over into the ring. He’s not a big puncher and you can’t put him in the Mike Tyson class. If anything, Chisora is more of an Eddie Chambers type. He’s not a big puncher, and he lacks height and reach.

Haye seems to be a little concerned with whether Chisora is going to play it clean, saying “I’ve always been a model professional in the ring, but he hasn’t and we need a strong referee who doesn’t stand for any fractures of the laws.”

The strange thing is Haye has generally been the fighter that is more prone to break the rules in the ring. He sometimes likes to hold and hit, and throw rabbit punches. Chisora doesn’t do a lot of that, although I’ve seen him do both at times. Haye is a lot more dangerous when he’s holding and hitting and throwing rabbit punches because he’s so fast with his hands.
