By Dallan O’ Donnell: Former super-middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler takes on Allan Green tomorrow night but in reality it should prove to be an easy night’s work for the Viking warrior, Kessler.

Kessler and Green are both moving up to the light-heavyweight ranks for this bout and at the weigh in today it seemed to suit Kessler down to the ground. He looked strong at the weight whereas Green looked slightly weight drained.

Kessler did once dominate the super-middleweight division, until the very talented Andre Ward took his title.

After the Ward defeat he did manage to beat Carl Froch for his WBC version of the belt, although Froch dismisses the defeat calling it a home town decision.

But where will Kessler go after he beats Green tomorrow night? Of course boxing is no full drawn conclusion but I really don’t see Green beating Kessler.

There are plenty of options available to him. He could take on light-heavyweight world champion Nathan Cleverly. It would be the biggest named opponent Cleverly has ever faced and would give Kessler a huge opportunity to fight for another world crown.

There are other options including Chad Dawson, who recently beat Bernard Hopkins and will now fight, it would seem, Andre Ward.

Kessler could also take on Hopkins to attempt to draw the big guns in both divisions out.

He could also chase a rematch with Ward but I think Ward is just in another class.

There are plenty of options available to him and some big fights are possible. Hopefully we see Kessler back on top of the sport very soon.
