Vitali, who turns 41-years-old in September, is looking to find a good opponent for the September date.

Klitschko’a manager has a list of fighters that they’re looking over for the fight.

There’s not much choose from if Vitali picks from the top 15 of the WBC. Here are the top 10 that the World Boxing Council has listed:

Chris Arreola
Denis Boytsov
Bermane Stiverne
Mariusz Wach
Johnathon Banks
Chauncy Welliver
Tyson Fury
Tomasz Adamek
Seth Mitchell
Kubrat Pulev

Out of all those heavyweights only Fury, Mitchell and Pulev seem appealing. Vitali already knocked out Arreola, and Adamek. Fury isn’t ready for a title shot yet, and Mitchell’s management likely won’t allow him to take the fight with Vitali yet.

Boystsov seems ready to fight for a title, but he’s still never fought a 1st tier fighter before and it wouldn’t be much of a fight. Boytsov looks like a cruiserweight fighting at heavyweight. He lacks size and power. Wach has got good power, but he’s so slow and hittable.

It would be a terrible mismatch if Vitali would fight this guy, but the Polish fans of Wach would probably enjoy seeing him fight for title. Out of all those fighters only Pulev has the credentials and the size to give Vitali a good fight. However, I doubt he’ll get picked out by Vitali because they’re probably going to look for someone that will excite the German fans. Wach probably will be the guy that’ll do that.

Vitali defeated challenger Dereck Chisora by a 12 round unanimous decision last February. Vitali didn’t look good in that fight, and part of that was because he injured his left shoulder early in the fight and was forced to fight with only his right hand. But Vitali also looked gassed out from the pressure that Chisora put on him in that fight. It didn’t look good Vitali struggling to beat a heavyweight that inexperienced Tyson Fury easily beat last year.
