Bradley said “I’m already the number #1 fighter at 140, and now I’m ready to take over as #1 at 147.”

Pacquiao better be ready, and I hope he’s got his excuses ready as well when and if things turn out badly for him like they did in his last fight against Juan Manuel Marquez last November. I can only imagine the excuses Pacquiao will dream up for what to say if things turn sour for him again. I just hope it’s something different this time from the excuse he made for the Marquez bout, because saying “I underestimated him” will no longer fly. That was a one time thing, and he can’t reuse it for Bradley.

Pacquiao’s legs will be a major focus for this fight, because he’s been supposedly experiencing leg cramps in his last few fights and that’s one of the reasons why he’s not been the Pacquiao that we once knew. I think it’s just plain old age rearing it’s ugly head.

When you get these ailments fighter after fight, that’s suggests that it’s more of an age related problem rather than just some physical ailment that is messing him up for one fight. I don’t know. We’ll see for this fight. If Pacquiao still experiences the leg cramps, you have to assume that this will continue to be a problem for him into the future and will likely get worse as he continues to age with each fight.

Bradley is ready to take the fight to the inside and wear Pacquiao down in this fight. He’s going to try to fight Pacquiao on the outside, but if that doesn’t work, Bradley will take it to Pacquiao in close and mug him. Freddie Roach will be spitting out advice at a mile a minute in between rounds, likely telling Pacquiao to move around the ring, stay away from Bradley. The problem is with Pacquiao’s legs giving him problems, he won’t be able to move worth a lick, and will be forced to fight Bradley on his terms. I don’t like that kind of fight for Pacquiao, because he’s not a good inside fighter, and will wear down quickly with that kind of fight.
