Mayweather Sr. doesn’t see it as a competitive fight, as he sees his on taking Khan apart. But before they would agree to a fight, Mayweather Sr. wants to see Khan take the test for performance enhancing drugs.

Mayweather Sr. told eastsideboxing.com’s On the Ropes Boxing Radio “I would like to see Amir Khan get his a** whopped by my son, and let his a** test negative, and then let it be a negative fight on his end trying to whop my son…He’s definitely a target to get his a** whopped, Amir Khan, because my son should be able to tag him all day long…Amir Khan is going to get beat up pretty bad.”

I agree that Mayweather Jr. would pick Khan apart all night long and give him a bad beating if the two were to fight. However, Khan is in danger of losing out on any hope of getting the Mayweather fight because he wants to wait a while before takes the fight. Khan is looking to fight a light welterweight on July 7th, and he could lose that fight. Should Khan win, he wants to get a tune-up bout at welterweight before trying to get a fight against Floyd Jr. next year some time.

When you’ve got a fragile and questionable stamina like Khan does, he could get beaten by pretty much anybody. Look at how Lamont Peterson and Breidis Prescott were able to beat Khan. Marcos Maidana almost did it as well, and probably would have had a different referee been working the fight that night in December 2010 when Maidana had Khan badly hurt in the last three rounds of the fight.
