Image: Bradley: I don’t care what Roach says about me; he won’t be in the ring with meBy Chris Williams: Tim Bradley isn’t bothered too much by the trash talk that Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach has been making lately about him. Roach said recently that Bradley reminded him of Ricky Hatton, and that he’s not impressed with him.

Bradley doesn’t care one it. His focus is entirely on the Pacquiao fight on Saturday night and nothing else.

Bradley said this as quoted by fighthype.com “I don’t care what Freddie Roach say; he aints in the ring fighting for Pacquiao and he ain’t in my training camp.”
Bradley went on to say that he’ll be making adjustments to whatever Pacquiao is doing in the ring, so it’ll be a constant chess match with both fighters making adjustments after adjustments.

The thing is Bradley won’t need to wait until the round is over to be told what things he needs changing, because he’s a smart fighter that can think on his feet and change things on the fly. Pacquiao might need a lot of help from Roach in between rounds to tweak things that aren’t working.

Having seen a lot of Pacquiao’s fights, I’m not so sure that Roach will be able to come up with the right strategy to nullify what Bradley is doing in the ring, and I don’t know that Pacquiao will consistently follow what Roach is instructing for him to do.

Pacquiao is one of those fighters that do well immediately after being given instructions by Roach, but then he quickly reverts back to what he was doing before as soon as he gets hit hard. Bradley will be hitting Pacquiao hard a lot, and I see that making Pacquiao abandon Roach’s instructions completely. Pacquiao will be just rushing Bradley like he often does, and that’ll give Bradley the opportunity to pick him off.
