Froch ranked No.2 by WBC, could get rematch with Ward soon
Vitali wants to fight another two years and fight David Haye

Donaire vs. Vasquez Jr.: A fan’s prediction
By Jimmy M: This is my first time writing an article. I am on my winter break and I made a commitment to myself that I would write a “blog” of my thoughts in the world of boxing. As we all know, Nonito Donaire will be fighting Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. on February 4, 2012. This could be either an entertaining fight or a lop sided boring one, if it can go pass the “feel-out” stage (my little saying for rounds 1-3 or 4).
Dirrell-Cunningham & Taylor-Nicklow light up SHOWTIME on Friday
By Scott Gilfoid: SHOWTIME has saved the best for the last of the year with this Friday’s excellent fight card with Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 KO’s) vs. Darryl Cunningham (24-2, 10 KO’s) and Jermain Taylor (28-4-1, 17 KO’s) vs. Jessie Nicklow (22-2-3, 8 KO’s). Both Taylor and Dirrell are coming off of head injuries suffered in fights against Arthur Abraham.
Ward likely to face #1 WBC ranked Anthony Dirrell next
Photo: Casino/SHOWTIME – By Scott Gilfoid: Instead of beating up on Carl Froch again or facing unbeaten but still unproven IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute next, WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward (25-0, 13 KO’s) will likely face his No.1 ranked WBC mandatory challenger Anthony Dirrell (24-0, 21 KO’s) next in the first quarter of 2012.
Most disappointing fight in 2011 – Wladimir vs. Haye
By John F. McKenna (McJack): Former World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) set the bar high prior to his title unification fight with WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49 KO’s) last July 2. Haye basically got his title shot with Wladimir through his gift of self promotion.
