What excuses will Froch dream up after he gets whipped by Ward tonight?

Image: What excuses will Froch dream up after he gets whipped by Ward tonight?By Scott Gilfoid: The Carl Froch vs. Andre Ward is just about to kick off from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, and I’m already wondering what excuse Froch is going to dream up afterwards for why he got whipped by Ward.

The last time Froch got slapped down was last year against Mikkel Kessler, and Froch bellyached afterwards about the volcano eruption getting in the way of his training and some other nonsense. But I can’t wait to hear the blather that he comes up with this time.

It’s going to be good I imagine. Ward has already tried to cut Froch off at the past by saying they need to call this fight “No excuses,” mean there shouldn’t be any excuses by either fighter afterwards. But each time that Ward has mentioned this, Froch has clammed up and said nothing. This tells me that there’s going to be an excuse coming from Froch as soon as the scorecards are revealed and Ward is announced as the winner.

Froch needs to accept the loss and give Ward full credit for dominating him. That’s what I’m hoping Froch does, but I doubt he’ll do it unless Ward stops him. I think it might take a brutal knockout by Ward for Froch to give the man his due.

I see Ward sweeping every round of the fight without fail. Froch is going to flounder tonight, and have a long, long flight home to Nottingham, England. The long flight will give him a lot of time to think about the loss and stew on it and what went wrong.
