Image: Froch vs. Ward: Andre will clown Froch on October 29thBy Scott Gilfoid: Carl Froch (27-1, 21 KO’s) is about to run out of luck in the Super Six tournament and end up getting drummed out after WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) dominates Froch and clowns him in the process of whipping him on October 29th in the finals of the tournament at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, in New Jersey.

Contrary to the popular opinion, Froch has looked horrible in the Super Six tournament, winning what appears to be a hometown decision against Andre Dirrell in his first fight of the tourney, losing his second fight against Mikkel Kessler and then beating a couple of easy marks in Arthur Abraham and Glen Johnson.

Instead of coming into the finals with a 3-1 record, Froch should be coming into the fight with a 2-2 record. Ward is basically facing a wounded duck, who has had serious problems against the talented fighters in the tourney. Let me tell you, this isn’t going to be a competitive fight. Ward is so much better, so much faster and so much more talented that Froch is going to be wishing he was back in Nottingham.

Ward hasn’t had one tough fight during the entire tourney, and that’s not because he’s had easy opposition. Ward thrashed Froch conqueror Kessler in his first fight of the tourney, making Kessler look like a rank amateur. In Ward’s other fights, he badly beat a very good Allan Green, and the totally dominated Arthur Abraham.

None of Ward’s fights have been even kind of close. If you want to look at the difference in talent between Froch and Ward all you have to do is look at the results of both of these fighters against a common opponent Kessler. Froch was beaten by Kessler and worn down, whereas Ward easily beat Kessler, winning every round of an 11th round technical decision win.
