Image: Tyson Fury: Wladimir will beat Haye quite easily whichever way he wants toBy Scott Gilfoid: Big 6’9″ heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury sees IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) easily beating the smaller 6’2″ 210 lb WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) next month at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Fury believes that Wladimir has already been in with similar small and quick heavyweights like Haye and won’t be bothered by him in the least for this fight. Fury has the opportunity to spar with Wladimir recently and was impressed with him.

Speaking with betting.bettfair.com, Fury said “He’s [Wladimir] fought a lot of people like David Haye, around the 6 feet 2, 6 feet 3 mark who punch hard, fast people like Eddie Chambers, and I think that Klitschko will deal with him quite easily…It does depend on which Klitschko turns up for the fight. If it’s a negative one, who wants to win on points, then he’ll win on pints, but if he goes out and looks for a knockout then he’ll probably win by a knockout. Either way I can’t see it being anything but a win for Klitschko.”

The advantage Fury has is that he’s sparred with Klitschko and knows how good he is and how hard he is to fight. This is pretty much the same that is being said by past opponents of Klitschko and sparring partners. Overwhelmingly, they see Wladimir beating Haye. The only guys that are really giving Haye a shot are guys like Freddie Roach and a lot of his fellow Brits. You can kind of dismiss his fellow Brits because a lot of them are speaking in terms of wishful thinking.

Fury has a bout coming up next month against British and Commonwealth champion Dereck Chisora in July. Fury could win the fight if he can copy Wladimir’s fighting style and stick with it the whole fight instead of reverting back into his primitive caveman style of fighing. Both Fury and Wladimir share the same trainer Emanuel Steward, except that Fury is only now starting with Steward whereas Wladimir has been with him for years.
