Haye, 30, is facing IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko this Saturday night, and Haye sees himself knocking Wladimir out by the 6th round.

Haye then wants to take on Vitali Klitschko, the WBC heavyweight champion and the older brother of Wladimir. Haye thinks that Vitali will cancel his September 10th bout against Tomasz Adamek in Poland in order to seek revenge for Wladimir’s knockout loss.

Haye says he won’t change his retirement schedule even if it means that he’ll be missing out on a $20 million payday against Vitali if Haye can beat Wladimir. Haye expects Vitali to be the one that does the bending in order to beat Haye’s retirement promise.

Speaking with the dailystar.co.uk, Haye said this about fighting Vitali: “He won’t be able to resist me once I have beaten his brother. Let’s get this one done and hopefully we can do that one. My retirement date has never changed. If it’s possible to squeeze in big brother in, it will be done.”

Haye may be mistaken about Vitali. Sure, he’ll want to avenge Wladimir’s defeat but he won’t cancel a big money fight with Adamek in order to beat Haye’s retirement date. If Haye can’t stick around a little longer to get a huge payday against Vitali it’s just going to make Haye look like he wanted no part of Vitali from beginning. That’s already the general consensus with boxing fans because Haye picked out Wladimir, who is considered the weaker Klitschko in the eyes of many boxing fans because of his shaky chin.

Haye could have selected the steel-chinned Vitali but instead he chose Wladimir. If Haye can’t stick around for just a few more months after his 31st birthday that would be more of an indication that Haye doesn’t want any part of Vitali rather than Haye just sticking to his word.
