By Gerardo Granados: The current IBF light welterweight champion southpaw Zab Judah (T49-W41 (28)-L6 (2)-D0) and former undisputed welterweight champion has not been able to get a fight against Juan Manuel Marquez who has the firm intention to get a third bout against Congressman Pacquiao, a fight against the WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan might take too long for Zab because for Amir it would be better to unify titles against Tim Bradley.

Erik Morales (T58-W51(35)-L7(2)-D0) had an epic battle against brawler Marcos Maidana but at the end the fight judges declared Maidana as the winner, but the fight could have been decided on his favor according to a lot of boxing fans opinion. At the end Morales proved that he is not finished yet and that he is still able to compete against the top fighters in his weight division.

Both veteran fighters have achieved enough merits to be considered as serious candidates to the boxing hall of fame and their boxing styles might bring a good fight to watch. If Zab Judah defeated Erik Morales he would add a big name to his record and it might help him get better fights in the near future; as for Morales if he defeated Judah he would achieve his goal of becoming the first Mexican fighter to gain world titles in four different weight division against a legit champion.

Problem is if this fight can bring big pay per view numbers. In the fight Morales vs. Maidana, the numbers were poor but it might have been the result of the negative press that this fight was given when the majority of sports journalist gave no chances to win to Morales; at the end the fight resulted in a tremendous fight and for the most of fans it will be attractive to watch Morales fight again.

Judah could try to get Shenchenko or Zaveck but it is doubtful that those fights would be better than the Morales fight, Congressman Pacquiao is out of the reach of Zab for now, and as for Ortiz it would be too risky for the new champion.

I would like to watch this fight because with the talent of these fighters it would bring an exciting fight along with a great technical and tactical performance from both warriors. I believe so but what about you?
