By Reynaldo Sanchez – boxeoeditores.com – Miguel Angel Cotto, WBA light middleweight world champion, installs his
trainings camps for the next fight on March 12th against Ricardo Mayorga, in the Lucky Street Boxing GYM property of “The Heavyweight Factory”, in Hollywood. Fla.

On Friday January 21st, the team of the champion starts his training for this fight. Today on Monday 24th, Miguel Cotto make a 4th rounds sparring session with the young man 17-year-old Anthony Castellón. Castellón will be helping Cotto in this trainings camp. Cotto start a few slowly looking for distance, but the impetuous young man forced Cotto from the second rounds, following the instructions of Louis Perez. Cotto showed his experience and keep the control.

It was a slightly solid training; the strongest piece will come from
tomorrow Tuesday January 25th, when Emanuel Steward Principal Trainer of the Puerto Rican, joins to the camp. Told me Bryan Perez

Bryan Perez, who is a member of the Cotto’s team, commented: “This was basically a soft session, we are starting; and later when Steward
integrate, he will look for the tailored sparrings for the style of
Mayorga”

Mayorga is a hardened fighter, he throws blows with his mouth before his fights and we understand that it’s his style. Miguel Cotto is a boxer who stands out for being a serious fighter in this aspect and he is a big
professional. We understand that then that we get the shape from our work in the GYM; this will speak for Cotto on March 12. Perez said.

We don’t discard Mayorga, he is a boxer and he has his opportunity
especially in the first round, but, Miguel Cotto takes seriously his
training and the fight them they are gained in the GYM. We will work
loudly to get a victory on March 12, Bryan Perez lock
