Klitschko, 34, seems to have a lot of respect for the power and the boxing skills of the 26-year-old Chisora. However, Wladimir doesn’t particularly care for Chisora as a person, perhaps negatively influenced by some of the odd things that Chisora has done both inside and outside the ring. In the past, Chisora bit one of his opponents in a recent fight against Paul Butlin last year in May, and outside of the ring Chisora kissed 280 pound Carl Baker.

Recently, Chisora was found guilty for assaulting his girlfriend. Wladimir said this about Chisora at the press conference on Monday, “As a boxer, he’s got pretty good skills, determination. He’s a very busy fighter, so there will be a lot of action on Saturday. He’s better than David Haye. He is as good at promoting himself but he even shows up for the fight. But as a person, he is horrible. It is not about getting angry. It is about the behavior of this man. I believe in the way he was raised it is probably questionable. The way he behaves himself, he bites in fights the ear and he beats up his girlfriend who cannot punch back. He is complaining about my challengers, the 60 challengers I have had in my career. There is a lot of talk.”

Wladimir needs to learn to ignore the talk from his opponents because any one can do that. Chisora is just trying to promote the fight and make the most of his opportunity while at the same time hoping he can get into the head of Wladimir just enough to get a big enough edge to pull off the upset. Based on talent alone, Chisora doesn’t have much of a chance to win the fight on Saturday against Wladimir.

But if Chisora can intimidate Wladimir and get him worried about being roughed up in the ring, Chisora could bring Wladimir down to his level and win the fight. It’s not likely, though, because even if Wladimir’s not firing on all cylinders, he still has huge power and much better skills to win just by throwing punches. Chisora’s best bet is if Wladimir doesn’t let his hands go and just tries to clinch and fight defensively. In that case, Chisora could stick around long enough so that he might be able to tired Wladimir out and get a stoppage late in the fight.
