Image: Where does a King Abraham go when his kingdom is in shambles?By Allen Hmiel: King Arthur Abraham now with the once gleaming crown tarnished a lot and his reputation in shreds is at a huge crossroads in his dwindling career. Two lopsided losses to Andre Dirrell and now from the “Cobra” Carl Froch leaves Abraham wondering what happened to his once invincible cloak of greatness.

Convincing losses to a light hitting unknown Dirrell and a confident Froch made Arthur look awkward and vulnerable and somewhat amateurish. Losing twice after building a stellar undefeated record with a huge fan base leaves poor Abraham searching for answers and career advice as to what his next step will be. Does the former champ risk it all against Andre Ward the best fighter in the Super Six and a possible humiliating third loss in a row? Even Abraham’s corner questioned his courage after the the Froch devastation and convincing win.
When a fighter questions his own boxing style and technique especially in mid career after being defeated easily by good not great opponents twice in row it sends a message that something isn’t working and needs repair. Arthur’s style the hands held high in peek a boo fashion played into both Dirrell’s and Froch’s hands as both opponents moved swiftly in and out peppering the slow reacting Abraham with punches from everywhere.

Arthur needs to dig deep into his soul and come up with some answers as to where the next step in headed. A third loss to Ward probably in America on the West Coast or a semi retirement to evaluate whether Arthur is a middleweight fighting out of his league as a Super Middleweight? Talk about a major career decision!
