Image: Haye thinks he, Froch and Khan will unify titles in 2011By Scott Gilfoid: It’s sad when fighters have hopeless pipe dreams that have basically zero chance of ever happening in this lifetime. WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is a classic case of one of those pipe dream wishing fighters with his latest dream of himself, Amir Khan and Carl Froch all unifying titles in 2011. I hate to break this to Haye, but that dream is not going to materialize into reality. My grand vision for those three is for all of them to suffer brutal knockout losses in 2011 and come back to the UK without their titles, licking their wounds and hurt feelings.

In an article at Sky Sports News, Haye said “There’s some unification bouts out there not just for me but for Carl [Froch] and Amir [Khan]. We can potentially have three unified champions in Britain. I don’t remember that ever happening before.”

Of course Haye doesn’t remember that ever happening before because it hasn’t happened, and it’s not going to happen in 2011. If I was to predict the most likely scenario of what will happen for Khan, Haye and Froch in 2011, I’d have to say that two out of the three will suffer brutal knockouts, the kind that give you headaches for weeks, and the third fighter – Froch – will lose by a lopsided decision to either Glen Johnson or Andre Ward. Johnson will likely eliminate Froch from the tournament by beating him by a decision. But as far as Khan and Haye go, I see them both getting beaten up, busted up, and taken out. There won’t be any of those three fighters unifying titles in 2011 – that’s my prediction.
