Image: Harrison: "When I land my left on his [Haye] chin, it's done"By William Mackay: 38-year-old Audley Harrison (27-4, 20 KO’s) is very thankful of WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (24-1, 22 KO’s) for giving him the opportunity to fight for the title on November 13th. Without this gift opportunity, Harrison likely would have never been able to get a shot at the title. But now that he’s being given one on a silver platter, Harrison plans on going out and knocking Haye out.

The fight is scheduled to take place at the M.E.N. Arena, Manchester, Lancashire, and there’s no question that the fight will be a sellout. Harrison says “I’m ecstatic to be getting a shot at the world title and double ecstatic that it’s David Haye. I’ve tasted his power and punches in training but he never hurt me.”

The two fighters sparred together in the past, and it was said that Haye dominated Harrison in the session. However, that was with head protection on. Without the head gear, it might be a whole different matter if Harrison lands one of his big left hands or right hooks on the chin of Haye.

Harrison, whether Haye wants to admit it or not, is a very real threat to him simply because of his power. Harrison may not be the most exciting guy due to his tendency to be a safety-first type of fighter but he’s shown a lot more aggression in his last few fights compared to how he used to fight in the past.

Haye needs to be concerned if Harrison fights like he’s been fighting recently. That version of Harrison could knock Haye out if he gets angry and lands one of his big lefts.

Harrison says “Trust me, come November 13 Audley Harrison will be world champion after my left connects with his chin. Mark my words. I don’t talk just for the sake of talking. I’ve always said I’ll be world champion and I will be. I’m still here, never forget that. Two years ago I said I was going to fight David Haye — and here I am about to fight him. He’s is in for the fight of his life. When I land my left on his chin, it’s done.”

I believe Harrison when he says “He’s in for the fight of his life.” I think Harrison really plans on coming out firing with heavy artillery. In their press conference today, he looked much bigger than Haye and when the two fighters got close, it was Haye that frightened. You could see it in his eyes. Haye looked intimidated and Harrison looked angry at him. I can see Harrison winning this fight, I really can.
