Image: The Magnificent Seven Looks a Hit: Cleverly-Murat, Macklin-Barker, More!By Shaun Campbell: Frank Warren promotions and Sky Sports will be broadcasting one of the most exciting cards of boxing this year on September 18th. The card will include a world title eliminator, 3 European champions, and two British title fights. The show will be headlined by Nathan Cleverly’s light-heavyweight WBO interim title shot against Karo Murat. Cleverly who is 19-0 will 9 KO’s will be looking to burst onto the world scene with a win over Murat.

Cleverly is not the only man on the show that is looking to establish himself as world class. A thrilling European middleweight title contest between Mathew Macklin and Darren Barker is on the undercard to the main event. Macklin (26-2-0), who has been training in Freddie Roach’s Wildcard Gym, decided to give up the belt he won with a KO win over Amin Asikainen. Barker who is currently undefeated in 22 contests, later claimed the vacant belt, but Macklin insists that Barker is only a “paper champion” as he didn’t beat him to take the title. Macklin is target Sebastian Sylvester should he beat Barker to win back his title.

Light-middleweight European champ Ryan Rhodes will also be on the show as he takes Lukas Konecny. Rhodes who took the belt after knocking out Jamie Moore last year, and who stopped Luca Messi has looked impressive as his career is now on the up again. There is a buzz of excitement around Rhodes who believe that even at 33, he is in the form of his life. He made his debut 15 years ago with a win over Lee Crocker, and has only lost 4 times in 48 fights.

Other fighters include European cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarineli, young prospects Kell Brook, James De Gale, Frankie Gavin and Ronnie Heffron. It is set to be a good night of boxing for the British stars, and will be available on Sky Box Office.
