By Jonnie of Brixton: With all the trouble Setanta is in, don’t hold your breath this fight (Haye vs. Klitschko) will be televised. Haye went about this fight all wrong. For some reason he believes he is a household name and thought it a great idea to ‘monkey around’ to drum up interest in the fight. It’s one thing to have a go at your opponent, but being the smaller bull in the china shop was all of his own making.
Insults and harassment of the champion made Haye believe in his own hype. Someone tell me what other fighter has jumped from cruiserweight, had one heavyweight fight and then decides ‘I am the man to clean up the robots/bores,’ all based on the well known world class and his victory over Monte Barrett.
Between Haye and ‘trainer of champions/co promoter Adam ‘humble’ Booth, they have attempted a blag. It didn’t work. Big Dave has ‘back problems,’ but of course the ‘back’ will be in tip top condition and ready to endure the fight on July 11th. Yeah, an actual date was given. Something does not add up. The dynamic duo will now have to take a risky fight with another ranked heavyweight or perish the thought Mighty Dave having to make his way up the ranking s in a traditional way.
Nah, the geezer from SE16 wants a fast track option. This was high risk, and we heard about a bad contract signed, so maybe their bottle has gone. The next two years were meant to be big pay days for Hayemaker Promotions. As it stands they are reduced to taking deep heat to relieve the ‘back pain.’ Pass the smelling salts!!
