In an article at the Grand Rapids Press, Steward says “This shapes up as a great bout – better than Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya or Mayweather and De La Hoya, or Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez. Mosley tell test Mayweather, get him out of his comfort zone.

Mayweather vs. Mosley: Will it mean anything in the end?

Image: Mayweather vs. Mosley: Will it mean anything in the end?By Joseph “The Mad Boxing Genius” Torres: For years, Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have danced around each other without actually setting foot in the ring. For years, the effort to match the two men were attempted but failed miserably. But if boxing has proven anything, it’s to never say never in this sport. Mike Tyson versus Evander Holyfield was eventually finalized despite cancellations and years of going in separate directions. Mike Tyson versus Lennox Lewis had their obstacles too but it got done. A Mosley/Mayweather fight did not prove any different.

Mayweather vs. Mosley: Expect a boring bout

Image: Mayweather vs. Mosley: Expect a boring boutBy Chris Williams: I’m hoping that this Saturday’s fight between Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather erupts into an action-packed bout with fireworks all the way through it, but I’m remembering Mayweather’s recent fights and I just see this one being a dull bout with not enough action to live up to the big expectations that boxing fans have for it. Mayweather, 33, doesn’t like to exchange with his opponents prefers to pick his spots to land single punches.

Image: Pacquiao says there’s a “Big possibility” he will face MayweatherBy Jim Dower: World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao thinks there’s a “Big possibility” of facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the future, according to Bloomberg.net. Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KO’s) is coming off a dull, one-sided 12 round unanimous decision over Joshua Clottey last March, a fight that took place in the Cowboy Stadium in front of over 50,000 fans in Arlington, Texas. Although Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach and his promotional company felt that Clottey would make for an exciting opponent, he badly came up short of that in fighting in a defensive manner for the full 12 rounds.
