By Chris Williams: An angry Alex Ariza, the strength and conditioning coach for WBO Welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, says he feels that promoter Bob Arum is getting in the way of a mega fight getting made between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Speaking with Fighthype.com, Ariza said “Michael Koncz says he’s meeting with Bob [Arum] to negotiate the Mayweather fight. They’re having a meeting on how to make sure this fight doesn’t happen…Bob is the one interfering.” WoW! Ariza is really dropping a bomb shell with this interview, because a lot of boxing fans, especially fans of Pacquiao, see Mayweather as the reason the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight still hasn’t been made.

By Dan Ambrose: Floyd Mayweather Jr. is really counting the days to when Bob Arum of Top Rank eventually steps down and is replaced by Duboef, the current president of Top Rank. Mayweather Jr. feels he can deal with Duboef. However, there’s no telling how long Arum will last. He could hold onto his reigns as the head of Top Rank until Mayweather is well past his prime, and by then it won’t matter anymore what Mayweather feels.
