By Brickshot: Manny Pacquiao, one of the most dynamic boxers of all time has faced some challenges that would stop most men in their tracks. In one of Manny’s most recent fights he faced one of his biggest rivals, Juan Manuel Marquez. In the early rounds the dominating Manny Pacquiao found himself hitting the canvas as he took a thunderous shot to the head. Although he quickly rose back to his feet his face showed a bit of surprise, but that didn’t stop him.

The fight went on as Manny Pacquiao put enormous pressure on Marquez almost putting the fight to an end, but out of no where Marquez landed a shot that stunned the world and Manny found himself face down on the canvas.

This time Manny did not get back up in time. This was a hard loss for such a great champion that buzzed throughout the boxing world. Above all of the ups and downs Manny has faced in the ring he has always been thankful just to fight another day.

We as ordinary people can be faced with many challenges in our own lives, and if we want to be real today we can find ourselves face down on the canvas of life. It’s a humbling experience, but to get back up and continue the fight regardless of how it looks when we get knocked down, that is what makes us great.

A true champion can lose a fight and still be victorious. A loss is a loss and a win is a win, but when we hit the canvas of life we have to get back up and get prepared for the next fight.

This fight for Manny will be with undefeated, Floyd Mayweather Jr. The self proclaimed “best ever” will be put to the test against a fighter that does not depend on an “undefeated” record, but rather depends on the fire that drives him and has led him to this level of his boxing career.

What makes a fighter worth watching…an undefeated record or the ability to come back from any fight and still rise to the top?

Watch, May 2 as these two fighters unify their welterweight world titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
