Arum thinks Pacquiao beat Mayweather 7 rounds to 5

Bob ArumBy Chris Williams: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says he felt that his fighter Manny Pacquiao did enough to deserve the decision earlier this month in his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Arum says he scored the fight 7 rounds to 5 for Pacquiao, but he feels that it could have also been scored a draw at 6 rounds a piece for both fighters.

Arum says he doesn’t buy the Compu-Box punch stats for the fight, and he suggests that boxing fans watch the fight in slow motion to see who really won the fight. The problem is fights aren’t watched in slow motion.

Roach: Pacquiao would have KO’d Mayweather if he had two good hands

Freddie RoachBy Chris Williams: I knew it wouldn’t take long for trainer Freddie Roach to finally come out of the woodwork and start talking about Manny Pacquiao’s embarrassing loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Earlier today, Roach commented that Pacquiao would have beaten Mayweather if he didn’t have the shoulder injury in their fight on May 2nd of this month.

Until recently, Roach had been strangely quiet about Pacquiao’s loss to Mayweather. Some boxing fans assumed that Roach was quiet because how bad things had gone for his fighter Pacquiao, and how Roach had no useful advice to give him.

Pacquiao with little chance to avenge loss to Mayweather

pac746By Chris Williams: Unless Manny Pacquiao starts groveling for a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year, I see very little chance of the Filipino star ever getting an opportunity to avenge his May 2nd loss to Mayweather. Pacquiao still has a small chance though of convincing Mayweather to fight him again, but I think it’s going to take some serious groveling for Manny to get to the fight.

For starters, Pacquiao may need to admit that the better man won the fight by saying that Mayweather was indeed the winner of the fight. Pacquiao can’t keep saying that he watched the fight on replay and saw himself winning 7 rounds to 5.

Pacquiao will probably need to take pay cut for Mayweather rematch

pac009By Chris Williams: If former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (56-6-2, 38 KOs) wants a second shot at getting the green against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) next year, Pacquiao will need to agree to the right purse split of the revenue in order to make that fight happen.

While Mayweather has said that he’s not giving the Filipino fighter a second chance at fighting him because he’s a “coward” and a “sore loser,” Mayweather might change his mind about the subject for the fight split of the loot.

Mayweather still has doubts about Pacquiao’s shoulder injury

1-11-6By Dan Ambrose: It’s been almost three weeks since the two superstars fought each other on May 2nd, but Floyd Mayweather Jr. still has a lot of doubts about the validity of Manny Pacquiao’s shoulder injury for their fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather notes that Pacquiao wasn’t getting his so-called injured right shoulder rubbed in between rounds of the fight, and he was able to use his shoulder without any signs of him being injured.

Mayweather says people should be upset with Pacquiao rather than him

1-MAYPAC-FIGHTNIGHT-TRAPPFOTOS-5147By Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Jr. thinks fans should be upset with Manny Pacquiao rather than himself for how their fight on May 2nd wound up. Some boxing fans aren’t happy that the fight turned out to be less than what they expected it to be.

They assumed that it would be a lot of brawling. However, Mayweather thinks that Pacquiao should be stuck with the blame because he’s the one who used to throw 1000 punches in his fights.

Arum says Pacquiao was 100% for Mayweather fight

1-11-6By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum is saying that Pacquiao went into his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. 100 percent healthy despite the fact that Pacquiao re-injured his rotator cuff in training camp last April.

Arum claims that Pacquiao has had the rotator cuff injury since 2008 when he fought Oscar De La Hoya. Apparently the injury flared up during training for the Mayweather fight.

Pacman cries tears: Legitimate Complaints or Poor Excuses?

Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao By Raj Parmar: As the dust settles from the May 2 “Fight of the Century” between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the impact of Manny’s loss is clearly starting to sink in on him. In addition to feeling upset about the loss, Pacquiao has made complaints about aspects the fight which he feels contributed to him not getting his hand raised. Arum doesn’t want to discuss Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch until Manny recovers from surgery

1-04-4By Chris Williams: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says he’s not ready to discuss a big money rematch between his fighter Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. until he knows for sure that Pacquiao will recover from his shoulder surgery for his torn right rotator cuff.

Arum isn’t sure whether Pacquiao will be able to recover from that injury. Arum is optimistic that Pacquiao will come back from the injury, but he’s still not sure if he will be able to come all the way back. Arum points out that some athletes never recover from the type of injury that Pacquiao had.

Mayweather won’t get respect for beating Pacquiao unless he flattens him, says Bradley

bradley24By Dan Ambrose: Tim Bradley thinks Floyd Mayweather Jr. won’t get any credit for beating Manny Pacquiao until he faces him again and knocks him out like Juan Manuel Marquez did in their fight in 2012.

Short of that, Bradley doesn’t see Mayweather getting credit from fans. Bradley says he’d like to see a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao, unlike a lot of boxing fans, because he felt their fight on May 2nd of this month was an interesting one.
