By Scott Gilfoid: As I already predicted, Luke Campbell (18-2, 15 KOs) will be facing Yvan Mendy (40-4-1, 19 KOs) in a World Boxing Council lightweight title eliminator bout on the Anthony Joshua v Alexander Povetkin card on September 22 on Sky Box Office PPV at the huge Wembley Stadium in London, England.
By Scott Gilfoid: Eddie Hearn is saying the rematch between Luke Campbell and Yvan Mendy is a done deal for a WBC lightweight title eliminator at a still to be determined date and venue in September. The fight will likely take place in the UK, which will put Mendy at a disadvantage. However, he’s already proven in the past that he can beat Campbell in the UK, so he should be able to do the same thing in a second fight.

There was a lot of jawing back and forth during the face off between the two fighters, but it looked like they were doing more so to show off rather than there being a lot of bad blood between them. This was a calmer weigh-in than last year between the two.
