By Sean McDaniel: 2008 Olympic heavyweight Bronze Medalist David Price (8-0, 6 KO’s) will be sparring with unbeaten heavyweight contender Odlanier Solis (17-0, 12 KO’s) to help get him ready for his March 19th title challenge against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 28 KO’s) in Cologne, Germany. Price, 27, was selected because at 6’8″, he’s around the same height at the 6’7″ Vitali.

Solis, who came into his last fight in December weighing a fat looking 260 pounds, is currently training in the snow-covered mountains in Germany and is putting in 2 1/2 hours of roadwork each day to lose some of the fat that’s collected on his once lean 200 pound frame.

Vitali wants to get a big fight against Tomasz Adamek and/or David Haye before retiring. The chances of getting even one of those fights is probably slim at best. Haye wants no part of Vitali, and only mentions the Klitschko brothers from time to time in a name dropping manner.

By Sean McDaniel: In a recent intevrview, Adam Booth, the manager/trainer for WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s), explains why he wants Haye to fight 38-year-old Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22 KO’s) next instead of WBA heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38 KO’s) . Booth feels that Vitali might lose to Solis in March, and because of that Booth wants Haye to go after the short, slow and old Mormeck, who has looked absolutely horrible since moving up to the heavyweight division in 2009.
