Going/Austria (March 4, 2010) – Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KOs), of Kiev (Ukraine) and Hamburg (Germany), participated yesterday in a media work out in his training camp in Austria. He discussed his upcoming WBO, International Boxing Federation and IBO heavyweight title defense against WBO-No. 1-ranked mandatory challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KOs), of Philadelphia.
The eagerly anticipated heavyweight championship will take place on Saturday, March 20, at ESPRIT arena Düsseldorf, Germany.
By Erik Schmidt: With less than three weeks to go before his March 20th fight against American heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s), IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) is looking really bulky, much bigger than usual. In a recent German television program, Klitschko, 33, looked a lot heavier than normal, appearing to weigh above his ordinary weight of 245. Could it be that Klitschko is taking Chambers for granted for this fight? After all, the 6’6” Klitschko will have an enormous height and weight advantage over the 6’1” 209 pound Chambers when they step into the ring on March 20th.
By Chris Williams: I don’t know about you but I can’t figure out why HBO has opted to show the fight between WBA light welterweight title holder Amir Khan against Paulie Malignaggi on May 15th, yet won’t be showing the March 20th bout between IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko vs. Eddie Chambers. It seems to me that the Klitschko-Chambers fight will be a much more interesting bout than seeing a fight between Khan, who is a virtual unknown in the United States, against the feather-fisted fighter like Malignaggi.

By Dan Ambrose: Heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (35-1, 17 KO’s) has great boxing skills and some nice wins going into his title March 20th title fight against International Boxing Federation/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) next month. However, it’s hard to see a case where the 6’1” Chambers will be able to out-box the 6’6” 245 pound Klitschko and win the fight. The bout will be taking place at the large ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, where there is expected to be as many as 60,000 fans in attendance.
By Sean McDaniel: This has got to be one of the worst heavyweight title defenses I’ve seen since I saw WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko defend his title against American Kevin Johnson. Challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 17 KO’s) has basically no chance of beating IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) at the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Chambers, 27, might have a chance if Wladimir was five inches shorter and had no power to speak of. It isn’t just that the 6’1” 209 pound Chambers is too small for Klitschko in this fight.
By Dave Lahr: It’s difficult to get excited about IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s next bout against American Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s) on March 20th, at the ESPRIT arena, in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. If “fast” Eddie wasn’t so short and fat looking, it might be a little easier to see him possibly connecting with a big enough shot to put the Ukrainian Klitschko down for the count. Goodness knows, Wladimir doesn’t have the best chin in the business and it doesn’t take a major league puncher to knock his lights out for the night. I’d personally rate Klitschko’s glass jaw about the same as the china-chinned WBA heavyweight champion David Haye.
By Dennis Broadhurst: Well there will hopefully be many great fights in 2010, I would like to offer my predictions to people now. Some fights may not happen and some definitely will, this article will cover some fights that are in talks and some that have already been announced.
1) The first fight I would like to mention is Pacquiao vs Clottey. I don’t think Clottey has big enough power to stop Pacquiao and doesn’t have the workrate to beat him by points, I see this fight being competitive for four or five rounds but then Pacquiao to take control and end things around round 11.

Klitschko, 33, has a title defense coming up against American Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s) on March 20th, at the ESPRIT arena, in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. In an article at the Miami Herald, Klitschko says “You could say I am very anxious to get back in the ring. I definitely want three fights this year after what I went through last year.”
