Image: 2010 Boxing Predictions: Khan-Marquez, Pacquiao-Clottey, Klitschko-ChambersBy Dennis Broadhurst: Well there will hopefully be many great fights in 2010, I would like to offer my predictions to people now. Some fights may not happen and some definitely will, this article will cover some fights that are in talks and some that have already been announced.

1) The first fight I would like to mention is Pacquiao vs Clottey. I don’t think Clottey has big enough power to stop Pacquiao and doesn’t have the workrate to beat him by points, I see this fight being competitive for four or five rounds but then Pacquiao to take control and end things around round 11.

2) Klitschko vs Chambers is the next fight I would like to predict. This has mismatch written all over it, I see this as a stoppage win for Klitschko, however early depends how aggressive he is. I think that it will end around round 8/9 with a ko/tko for Klitschko.

3) Mayweather vs Mosley is not certain but if it does come through then I think Mayweather will win. I really think it will be a competative fight but I do believe that Mosley is too old to beat Mayweather, he may still though trouble him. I see it as a close decision for Mayweather.

4) Haye vs Ruiz should be a good fight, I think that Haye will stop his opponent by wearing him down before landing one of his huge combinations to end things – KO in favour of Haye by round 9.

5) Khan vs Marquez, well I think Marquez is too old and will be fighting to heavy to beat Khan. I think a prime Marquez would have taken out Khan but he is now too old and is fighting at too heavy a weight. I think Khan will fight a safe fight, constantly on the move and will win a unanimous decision, this really will be a sad way for Marquez to go.

6) Froch vs Kessler, a fight that will be a war but I think Froch will win. Kessler does not seem to take punishment well and I think Froch will land his right hand on him all night long. I see this as a late stoppage for Froch, around round 11.

7) Dirrell vs Abraham. Well this is an interesting one, everyone thinks Dirrell has ants in his pants and that Abraham will knock him out but I disagree. I think Dirrell will use his height and reach and will be far too fast for the primitive Abraham, beating him by a decision.

8 ) Klitschko (Vitali) vs Valuev. If this fight does happen then I see a stoppage win for Vitali, he will not move against Valuev but will bulldoze him. I see a retirement of Valuev by round 9.
