Image: Wladimir Klitschko: “I just hope he [Haye] doesn’t get hit on his glass chin” by RuizBy Scott Gilfoid: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) had a lot to say about World Boxing Association heavyweight champion David Haye recently, saying in an article at the Daily Star, “Haye b*tched out from Vitali. I just hope that Haye doesn’t get hit on his glass chin [in his fight with John Ruiz on April 3rd]. As much as I don’t like him [Haye], I don’t want him beaten by Ruiz before I get there.” Klitschko, 33, has bad blood with Haye because of all the trash talking that Haye did when the two were leading up to their failed fight last year.

Klitschko rates Chambers as a “much better boxer than David Haye”

Image: Klitschko rates Chambers as a “much better boxer than David Haye”By Dan Ambrose: Paying a big compliment to his American challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s), IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) said to ESPN, “I believe that Eddie Chambers is a much better fighter than David Haye. Haye is ridiculous. He bailed from my fight, from a fight with Vitali. He actually admitted he was going to fight Valuev because it’s an easier fight for him. So he [Haye] fought Valuev in a very boring way for 12 rounds. And – excuse me – Valuev is just a freak show.”

Klitschko: “This little man [Chambers] is dangerous” – News

Image: Klitschko: “This little man [Chambers] is dangerous” – NewsBy Dave Lahr: International Boxing Federation/World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) is wary about this Saturday night’s fight against his number # 1 challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO”s) at the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. In an article at Sport.ru, the thirty-three year old Klitschko says “How dangerous is Eddie Chambers? I am fully aware that his little man is extremely dangerous.” Chambers will be giving up nearly six inches in height and over 30+ pounds in weight to the much bigger Wladimir. This could end up meaning a lot if Chambers isn’t able to get within punching range or if he can’t take the big punishing shots from Klitschko.

Klitschko-Chambers: Is Eddie to small and weak to compete with Wladimir?

Image: Klitschko-Chambers: Is Eddie to small and weak to compete with Wladimir?By Jim Dower: Only 6’1” 208, Eddie Chambers (25-1, 18 KO’s) is one of the smaller heavyweights to have challenged IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) for his title. On Saturday night, Chambers has to hope that his lack of size and power won’t be a hindrance in him attempting to capture Klitschko’s two titles when he meets him at the 51,000 seat ESPRIT arena, in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

Chambers sees no problems beating Klitschko

Image: Chambers sees no problems beating KlitschkoBy Jim Dower: American heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s) feels good about his chances of beating IBF/WBC heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) on March 20th when he fights him in Germany. Chambers, 27, says in an article at Boxing Talk “I’m coming to win this fight handily and in twelve rounds. I should be in front pretty easily.” Chambers thinks he’ll be able to out-point Klitschko, which is kind of the opposite of what most fighters attempt to do when they face Wladimir. Winning rounds against the tall 6’6” Klitschko isn’t an easy thing for most fighters do.

Klitschko needs to beat Chambers in an impressive manner

Image: Klitschko needs to beat Chambers in an impressive mannerBy Jim Dower: The knock on IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is that he’s a boring, safety first fighter who lacks heart. Some people think Wladimir does just enough to win his fights, and because of that believe, many boxing fans have lost interest in watching Wladimir fight. This hasn’t been lost on HBO, who now rarely shows any of Klitschko’s fights anymore. That’s hard to imagine for a heavyweight who has dominated the heavyweight division for the most part for the past five years.

Chamber’s trainer sees Klitschko as predictable

Image: Chamber’s trainer sees Klitschko as predictableBy Jim Dower: Rob Murray, the trainer for heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KOs), sees IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) as an easy fighter to get his fighter ready for, saying in article at ESPN, “Klitschko fights the same way every time. That robotic, Eastern European style. It’s easy to train for him, because you know what he’s gonna do.” It’s good that Chamber’s trainer feels positive about the Klitschko fight, but unfortunately he’s not the one that’s going to be in the ring with Klitschko on March 20th, at the ESPRIT arena, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

Chambers has to force Klitschko to fight

Image: Chambers has to force Klitschko to fightBy Dave Lahr: If heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s) has any hope of beating IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) on March 20th, he’s going to have to try and force Klitschko into some hard exchanges and force him to fight him. Chambers doesn’t have the size or the power to fight in a slow and methodical way and still beat a huge 6’6” fighter like Wladimir. He has to try and get Klitschko into a dog fight, make him tire out and possibly land something hard enough while Klitschko is fighting all out. That’s pretty much Chamber’s only chance of beating the 33-year-old Wladimir.

Klitschko-Chambers: This is Fast Eddie’s big chance – will he blow it?

Image: Klitschko-Chambers: This is Fast Eddie’s big chance – will he blow it?By Jim Dower: After toiling away for 10 years as a pro, “Fast” Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KO’s) will finally get his chance at the big time in a title shot against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) on March 20th, at the ESPRIT arena, in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The hard work that the 27-year-old Chambers has put in to get to this moment in his career unfortunately won’t be rewarded by having his fight shown on cable to the American public, as the fight won’t be aired by HBO, ESPN or Showtime, the traditional media outlets for boxing in the United States.
