Vitali Klitschko: the Greatest Heavyweight Champion of all Time – Pt 2
by Roman Kolaczek: As champion, Klitschko ducks nobody. His opponents are limited only to those contenders who are at the very top of the WBC rankings. Remarkably, Klitschko is a champion that is willing to fight on the road, to defend in his challenger’s hometown. He recently defended his title against Polish hero Tomasz Adamek in Wroclaw, in an arena filled by 44,000 pro-Adamek fans. As usual, Klitschko demolished his challenger in dominant fashion.
Vitali Klitschko: the Greatest Heavyweight Champion of all Time – Pt 1
By Roman Kolaczek: Boxing has been a mainstream sport for over a century. Many generations have had great heavyweight champions, many of them household names all over the world. Anytime a major fight between two outstanding heavyweights occurs, the same question arises: who is the greatest of all time? Today, most are saying that this extraordinary heavyweight is Muhammad Ali.

By John F. McKenna (McJack): World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO’s) earlier this week denied that he was going to retire after one or two more fights. Now “Dr. Ironfist” is toying with the idea of defending his title against Russian giant former World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (50-2-1, 34 KO’s) in Kiev in 2012. The fight would coincide with Ukraine co-hosting the 2012 European Football Championships.
Vitali Klitschko now offering Valuev $1.2 million?
By Jim Dower: WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (40-2, 38 KO’s) has apparently lowered his offer to former World Boxing Association heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev (50-2, 34 KO’s) even further to $1.2 million, according to German news publication the Bild. Vitali, 38, was previously offering the 36-year-old Valuev $2.5 million to fight him months ago. However, Valuev’s promoter Don King wanted to get $4 million for Valuev. Klitschko showed no interest in paying that. The next offer from Klitschko was $1.5 million. However, Valuev and his promoter haven’t gone for that deal either. Now it looks like Klitschko may have dropped it even further to $1.2 million.
Klitschko team offering Valuev $1.5 million, not $2.5 million

Jones vs. Hopkins, Klitschko vs. Valuev: Does anyone care to see these fights?
By Chris Williams: I for one could care less about the April 3rd fight between Bernard Hopkins (50-5-1, 32 KO’s) and Roy Jones Jr. (50-6, 40 KO’s). I hear the fight is going to be on HBO pay-per-view, and I can only imagine the kind of numbers it will bring in as far as PPV buys goes. I don’t see how the fight will be successful financially unless HBO puts together one of their HBO 24/7 series to try and hype the fight to the casual boxing fan. Judging by the almost entire lack of interest I’ve been seeing on the internet about this fight, I don’t imagine it will do well at all with hardcore boxing fans.
