By Dan Ambrose: Lamont Peterson (28-1-1, 14 KO’s) and Victor Cayo (26-1, 18 KO’s) will be squaring off in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) light welterweight title eliminator bout on July 23 on the undercard of the unification title fight between WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan and IBF belt holder Zab Judah at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Khan vs. Judah
Erik Morales turned down $1.5 million to fight Khan
By William Mackay: It seems that IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah wasn’t the second choice for WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) after WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KO’s) turned down the July 23 date to fight Khan. Instead of going after the more relevant bout against the still in his prime Judah, Khan and Golden Boy Promotions, Khan’s promoter, tried to get a fight with fading star Erik Morales (51-7, 35 KO’s), but Morales reportedly turned down a big $1.5 million offer to fight Khan, according to boxing news from Dan Rafael at ESPN.
Froch thinks Khan can slip off the radar if he doesn’t fight on Sky
By Sean McDaniel: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch thinks that WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan could end up hurting himself if he doesn’t get his fights back on Sky television broadcaster after deciding to pull out of Sky during his last fight with little known Paul McCloskey and have the fight shown on Primetime pay per view.
The chances of Khan surviving even one of Judah’s uppercuts is extremely remote
By Scott Gilfoid: The much talked about fight between WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) and IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-6, 28 KO’s) is about to become reality, as two fighters are reportedly in agreement about a 45-55 purse split with Khan getting the bigger chunk and keeping all the UK pay per view money. The only thing that has to be decided is the venue – Atlantic City or Las Vegas.
Khan-Judah looks like it will happen with a 55-45 purse split in Khan’s favor
By Eric Thomas: The much talked about fight between WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan and IBF champion Zab Judah looks like it’s going to happen, according to boxing news from Dan Rafael on his twitter page. Rafael said “Both sides tell me they’d take 55-45 in Khan’s favor.” This sounds good, because Judah had been holding out for a 50-50 deal in order to take the fight. But accepting a 55-45 deal isn’t that bad, and Judah can certainly make the most of it by knocking Khan out and taking his WBA belt off of him.
Judah: Khan offering 45-55 and they get to keep all UK sells
By Scott Gilfoid: IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah isn’t happy with the deal he’s been offered to fight WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan for July 23. Judah wants a 50-50 split of the purse, which sounds more than reasonable given that he’s more popular than Khan and easily more popular than WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley as well. Khan was offering Bradley a 50-50 deal, but isn’t willing to offer Judah the same.

Judah wants 50-50 deal with Khan
By William Mackay: IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah wants a fight on equal footing with WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan and isn’t willing to take the short end of the stick. Judah wants a 50-50 deal. Khan and his promotional company Golden Boy Promotions are reportedly offering Judah a 60-40 deal with Judah getting the small end of the purse split.
Why Amir Khan will not be fighting Zab Judah
By Mark Young: So Zab Judah has said it, he’s very interested in making a unification fight with Amir Khan happen, but it wont. Khan quickly seized the moment and called Judah a runner when Judah expressed an interest in fighting Manny Pacquiao after the Shane Molsey farce, another mismatch that boxing fans were subjected to as an overpriced PPV recently.
Judah interested in Khan bout
By William Mackay: IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-6, 28 KO’s) is very interested in facing WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 18 KO’s) after the fight that Judah was looking for against Manny Pacquiao failed to happen. Judah recently said his focus wasn’t Khan and that he wanted to fight Pacquiao. However, with Pacquiao’s team selecting 37-year-old Juan Manuel Marquez to fight in a catchweight bout in November and with the comments that Khan said about Judah recently in an article at boxingfutures.com, where Khan called Judah a runner, Judah has reversed course and is now eager to face Khan.
