Sanchez says he doesn’t know where they came up with Golovkin being injured, but he says not injured. Sanchez would obviously know if Golovkin came out of the Daniel Jacobs fight with an injury.

Golovkin’s injury is holding up him signing the contract for the Saunders fight. Some boxing fans might believe that this is a stalling tactic by Golovkin and his team to give them more time to negotiate a fight against Saul Canelo Alvarez. Team Golovkin should already know by now whether they’ll be able to get a fight against Canelo in September.

The promoter for the unbeaten Saunders (24-0, 12 KOs), Frank Warren, is saying that they won’t wait around forever for Triple G to make up his mind whether he’ll agree to the fight with his fighter for June. Warren says they’ll move on if he doesn’t make agree to the fight. The contract is there for Golovkin to sign if he wants the fight.
