By Scott Gilfoid: Amir Khan says that he likes the idea of facing newly crowned WBA World welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (35-3-1, 17 KOs) after his 12 round unanimous decision win over WBA 147lb champion David Avanesyan (22-2-1, 11 KOs) last Saturday night. Peterson beat Khan by a 12 round split decision victory on December 10, 2011. By Jim Dower: The purses are a little lopsided in favor of former four division world champion Adrien Broner for his fight tonight against Adrian Granados at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Broner (32-2, 24 KOs) will be receiving a purse of $1 million compared to just $250,000 for Granados (18-4-2, 12 KOs), according to Dan Rafael.

The million purse for the 27-year-old Broner isn’t what many in the boxing world thought he would be making at this point in his career.
