By Allan Fox: Former world title challenger Curtis Stevens (27-5, 20 KOs) will reportedly be back inside the ring in the spring against an opponent still to be determined. Stevens, 30, hasn’t fought since losing to Hassan N’Dam in October 2014.
Stevens didn’t fight at all in 2015, which was a shame because it would have been good for him to resume his career to pick up some momentum to load up for another world title fight. In November 2013, Stevens was stopped by WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin in the 8th round of a one-sided fight.
Stevens is still young, and powerful. He could easily cause the other top middleweights problems if he could get a fight against the likes of David Lemieux, Billy Joe Saunders, Daniel Jacobs and Peter Quillin.
