Fury vs. Klitschko will be a stadium fight in May, June or July, says Hennessy

Image: Fury vs. Klitschko will be a stadium fight in May, June or July, says HennessyBy Scott Gilfoid: Mick Hennessy, the promoter for unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s), says that Fury will be fighting IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in May or June next year. Hennessy says he’s already spoken to Wladimir’s manager Bernd Boete about this, so it’s pretty much a done deal if Fury can get past Kevin Johnson this Saturday night in their fight in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Hennessy told the Mirror.co.uk “The fight with Wladimir will be a stadium fight and we would be looking to do it in May, June or July. Germany would be the favorite place for it to happen.”

Fury-Johnson fight to be a WBC heavyweight eliminator

Image: Fury-Johnson fight to be a WBC heavyweight eliminatorBy Scott Gilfoid: The World Boxing Council has decided for whatever reason to make the Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) vs. Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) to be a WBC heavyweight title eliminator with the winner of the fight to become the mandatory challenger for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

I don’t think that was a good move by the WBC because this could set up a rematch between Johnson and Vitali, and we already saw Johnson get badly beaten by Vitali in 2009, and I don’t see anything changing in a second fight.

Price vs. Skelton & Fury vs. Johnson fight predictions

Image: Price vs. Skelton & Fury vs. Johnson fight predictionsBy Scott Gilfoid: We’ve got a couple of British heavyweight bouts coming up on Friday and Saturday this starting with an utterly dreadful mismatch between unbeaten British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (14-0, 12 KO’s) against his 45-year-old opponent Matt Skelton (28-6, 23 KO’s) at the Aintree Equestrian Centre, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom.

Price, 29, has every advantage under the sun in this fight, and it’s just so terribly sad that Price is still being matched up against opposition like this at his age. 29 isn’t young, and there seems to be a problem with his promoter not stepping him up against quality opposition.

Prediction: Fury will to lose to Johnson on Saturday

Image: Prediction: Fury will to lose to Johnson on SaturdayI don’t know about anyone else but, I think Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) will pose a a real threat for unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) on Saturday night at the Belfast arena in Northern Ireland. Although Fury has ran threw all of his opponents to date, he has yet to fight someone at real world level apart from (Derrick Chisora ) which in it’s self was questionable fight, Johnson has a great left hand and seems to have knockout power from what I have seen.

Even though I would not put Johnson at near the top of the heavyweight pile, I would not put Fury there either. Fury does not excite me as a fighter nor do I think he has what it takes to adopt a heavyweight world title.

Fury wants Wladimir next year in May or June

Image: Fury wants Wladimir next year in May or JuneBy Scott Gilfoid: Like fellow Brit Ricky Hatton, unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) is ready to risk everything by taking a fight that he arguably isn’t ready to take in terms of experience, skills, talent and power against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Fury, 24, wants to fight Wladimir in May or June of next year, according to the Dailystar.co.uk.

Fury is willing to fight Wladimir in Germany so that he can have the home advantage. Fury doesn’t care. He just wants the fight. Fury prefers fighting Wladimir than waiting for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko to retire and then going after his World Boxing Council strap, according to the Dailystar. Fury wants the opportunity to go after four world titles against Wladimir rather than just one strap with the WBC belt.

Fury, 24, has all kinds of career dreams of facing IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and beating him to capture all of his titles and becoming the top heavyweight in boxing. Well, Johnson is just one of many gatekeepers that can shut the 6’9″ Fury’s dreams down in their tracks on Saturday before he’s even gotten his big dream fight with Wladimir.

Johnson won’t prepare Fury for the Klitschkos

Image: Johnson won't prepare Fury for the KlitschkosBy Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) isn’t going to be helped one bit in his December 1st fight against Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) for a bout against one of the Klitschko brothers in 2013 or whenever Fury decides to man up and fight one of them. Fury and Johnson will be fighting at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

Johnson, 33, doesn’t have the fire power to prepare Fury for one of the Klitschko brothers, and Fury is kidding himself if he thinks this fight will get him ready for a fight of that magnitude. Heck, I don’t see Johnson as capable of preparing Fury even for a fight against Kubrat Pulev, a fighter who I consider a lot better than Fury. That’s who Fury should be fighting now, not Johnson.

Johnson expects to give Fury a beating on December 1st

Image: Johnson expects to give Fury a beating on December 1stBy Sean McDaniel Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) likes his chances against the 24-year-old unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) on December 1st at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Johnson, 33, sees Fury an inexperienced fighter with plenty of holes in his game that he can exploit with his power and his hard jabs. Johnson sees himself beating Fury so badly that he ends up retiring from the sport.

Johnson said to Fightnews.com “I have the tools to beat Fury, no doubt. I’ll beat Fury so bad he’ll want to retire…Fury’s not in my class.”
