Haye vs. Fury fight close to being done

haye#2By Scott Gilfoid: Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is saying that the British heavyweight clash between David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) could be made by the end of June. Both fighters want this bout and Hearn, the promoter for Haye, is working on it.

It’s a big fight for the UK because Fury is kind of the last man standing in terms of the unbeaten British heavyweights. The heavily hyped David Price was recently drilled out in two rounds by 41-year-old Tony Thompson, leaving just Fury as the only unbeaten British heavyweight of note.

Tyson Fury is a legitimate heavyweight contender

fury122By Bob Smith: Like many boxing fans who watched heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) in a weak performance against Steve Cunningham, I came off with a view of him as sloppy, amateur, and more of a potential WWE star than a legitimate boxer. My antidote and I believe the antidote for those who also saw him against Cunningham is to view the fight between him and Derek Chisora.

Yes, Chisora was overweight and slightly sluggish; on the other hand, Chisora has been in with the elite of the heavyweight division including a Klitschko and David Haye, and in only his 15th fight Fury not only held his own, but dominated most of the fight.

Fury to Haye: Sign the contract; I’m going to rip your head off pretty boy

fury54By Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) no doubt must have read the news about David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) saying he hasn’t agreed to fight him because Fury is now telling Haye to sign the contract because he wants to give him a beating. Last Saturday night, Fury jumped the gun by saying that the fight between him and Haye was “99% done.” Haye laughed at this, saying he hadn’t agreed to anything.

Here’s what Haye’s response was to Fury on his twitter: “I read that Fury thinks a fight with me and himself is ‘99% Done’ HAHA At best i’d say there’s Light Discussions, that are moving slowly. For everyone asking if I’m fighting Fury. I currently have no agreement, or contract in place. But a fight later in the year would be fun.”

Fury says fight with David Haye is a 99% possibility

fury5333By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight contender Tyson Fury says he spoke with Adam Booth, the manager/trainer for David Haye, and he’s saying that he’s interested in matching Haye against Fury next. Fury says he wants to take this fight next.

Fury was interviewed by Channel 5 it’s “99 percent” a possibility to happen after his conversation with Booth.

In an interview with I Film London, Fury said “David Haye’s going to come out ducking and diving, and I’m going to knock him out like Steve Cunningham. Cruiserweights are easy for me. I’m blowing him out of the water.”

Haye & Fury both know the blueprint to beat each other

haye434By Boxing Muse: It appears the rivalry between David Haye and Tyson Fury is gathering momentum and will hopefully result in a contract being signed for what can be classed as one of the biggest fights in boxing.

Each camp should take confidence in the fact that there is a blueprint on how to beat each other. Even though Tyson is undefeated and Haye has only lost to Carl Thompson (in 2004) and the youngest Klitschko brother. It seems apparent that there are ‘keys to victory’ which seem obvious routes to take if one is to be victorious.

Tyson Fury vs. David Haye: It has to happen.

haye54By Daniel Mcglinchey: Rumors are circulating over a mouth watering match-up between the 2 best Heavyweights Britain has to offer. Will it happen? I think it has to.
David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) has recently pulled out of his scheduled match-up with Manuel Charr due to a suspected hand injury and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) failed to attend purse bids for a IBF final eliminator with Kubrat Pulev.

Both trainers and fighters have stated that they want this fight to happen its now down to the promoters to get it made, and I believe it is in the process. The main rumour circulating is that the fight will be announced for an autumn showdown September 28th at Old Trafford football ground.

Haye: Fighting Tyson Fury is free money

haye125By Scott Gilfoid: Former two division world champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) is amused that contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) has been mentioning his name recently about wanting to fight him next.

Haye says he doesn’t know if the 6’9” Fury is on the level or not but he’d like to fight him because he sees it as easy, easy money. No doubt, Haye saw how truly awful Fury looked in his last fight against Steve Cunningham and wants to get a piece of the Fury action to be the first one to knock him out cold before someone else does it.

Fury: Bring on David Haye; I want Britain’s best heavyweight!

haye002By Scott Gilfoid: Having just narrowly escaped getting knocked out by 210 pound heavyweight Steve Cunningham in his last fight, British heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) has decided not to fight a very tough unbeaten heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev next.

Fury wants former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and he thinks he’s got the talent to beat him despite his dreadful performance against Cunningham in front of an American audience in New York last April.

Fury said to the dailystar.co.uk “Bring it on. David Haye is by far the best heavyweight in Britain so forget David Price…if I beat him I will be the best…I have no interest whatsoever in David Price.”

Fury: I could beat Deontay and Haye on the same night

wilder33By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) was getting a little lippy today on his twitter about American talent Deontay Wilder in response to him advising Fury to try and fight David Haye.

Fury seems to want the fight with the 32-year-old Haye, but it doesn’t look for the 6’8” Fury if that fight – or a fight with Deontay is ever made. I’m not holding my breath on Fury ever facing Wilder, not now, not ever.

Fury said on his twitter “At Bronzebomber: I see you like to kiss the a** of David Haye. I have beat the best USA heavyweights [??]! The rest are sh**…You and Haye are a pair of bi*** pu**y boys who I could beat together on the same night.”

Hennessey wants Haye vs. Fury next

fury1By Scott Gilfoid: Mick Hennessey, the promoter for unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s), is hoping to put together a fight between Fury and former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) this year. Hennessey thinks it’ll be a big fight in the UK in terms of attracting interest from boxing fans.

He might be right about it being a big fight, but it’ll likely go badly for the 6’9” Fury with him getting knocked out and badly exposed. Heck, Fury was pretty much already exposed in his last fight against Steve Cunningham last April. That’s the fight that Fury was knocked down in the 2nd round and hurt in the 3rd by right hands from the smallish Cunningham.
