By Jim Dower: Unbeaten heavyweight contender Chris Arreola (26-0, 23 KOs) destroyed power puncher Travis Walker (28-2-1, 22 KOs) in a 3rd round stoppage in a International Boxing Federation (IBF) Heavyweight Title Eliminator match on Saturday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, in Ontario, California. Arreola was knocked down after getting hit with two right hands in the 2nd round. However, he quickly returned the favor, knocking Walker down in the same round with a hard right hand.

By Alan Thomson – Paul “The Punisher Williams” doled out a standard issue beat down to game but overmatched journeyman Verno Phillips last night in Ontario, California despite a nasty cut over his right eye as the result of an unintentional head butt in round one. Williams controlled the action from the opening bell, working on the inside against the shorter Phillips. Although Phillips was never seriously hurt in the bout, it was stopped by the ring doctor after the eighth round. Williams punished Phillips throughout the contest, doing some particularly vicious work to the body.
