Helenius, 27, ranked #2 WBO, #3 IBF, #9 WBA, #13 WBC, is quickly moving up the heavyweight rankings after an impressive 9th round TKO win over Samuel Peter on April 2nd. Helenius beat Peter even more impressively than world champion Wladimir Klitschko did in beating Peter last September.

The two were supposed to have fought next month in July but Helenius injured his hand while training and will need extra time to get get ready. The 6’6″ Helenius is quickly making a name for himself in the heavyweight division after stopping former WBC heavyweight champion Samuel Peter by a 9th round TKO in April.

The date for the showdown between Helenius and Liakhovich has been alternately reported as being on July 1 or July 16. A firm date will be announced later.
