MARTIN MURRAY will look to fulfill his dream of becoming St Helens’ first ever world champion in Monte Carlo on February 1.
The popular middleweight, 31, will take on Australia’s highly rated Jarrod Fletcher for the vacant WBA title at Salle des Etoiles and will be hoping to make it third time lucky.
Murray has contested world honours twice already, drawing with Felix Sturm in December 2011 and controversially being outpointed by Sergio Martinez in April this year.

(December 3, 2013) – Square Ring Promotions and Hrunov Promotions announced today that Roy Jones, Jr. (56-9, 40 KO’s) would be back in the ring on December 21, 2013 in Moscow, Russia in a 12 round WBU Cruiserweight title fight against Frenchman Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf (17-3-1, 8 KO’s).

Monte Carlo (December 3, 2013) Boxing’s fastest rising superstar, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin will return to Monte Carlo, on Saturday, FEBRUARY 1 to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) Middleweight Championship belts against former world title challenger Osumanu Adama in the main event of “Monte Carlo Night of Champions.”
“Monte Carlo Night of Champions” is presented by Africa’s promotional giant, Golden Gloves of South Africa. The Golvokin/Adama world title clash is presented in association with K2 Promotions and GGG Promotions. Edinburgh’s Golden Boy John McCallum takes the long trip from Edinburgh to London next week for his first title bout when he takes on Baltic Champion Adam Grabiec for the International Masters Light- Middleweight title.
McCallum only recently penned a deal with Goodwin Promotions head honcho Steve Goodwin and this will be his second fight under the Goodwin banner.
